Travel Report - New York - Pictures from Top Of The Rock

For years I have been dreaming of viewing the Manhattan skyline from Empire state building. During last year visit, my son convinced me to go to 30, Rockfeller Center's Observation Deck, instead. Truly, amazing sight.

Many of the buildings are more than 100 years old and there were no modern machineries while building them. Truly some of these buildings are architectural marvels.

In the following picture, the famous Central Park is at the background:

Following one is probably the best.

By the way, the famous TV sitcom '30 Rock' derives its name from this building i.e., 30 Rockfeller Center.

Las Vegas Pictures - Part2 (spicy stuff)

***Not sure if I have to categorise this post as mature content, which I feel it is not. However, if you are not happy with the pictures in the post below, please exit this post. Thank you.***

While in Las Vegas, my cousin took me to a night club - The Coyote Ugly Las Vegas. This club is a replica of its famous main The Coyote Ugly New York.

It was around 11pm, The Coyote Ugly Club was filling up with curious crowd. On my first view of the roof, I saw something different. Since the lighting was a bit dark, I saw a huge bunch of items hanging from the ceiling. After a close look I realised what it was and clicked the following pictures.

Yes, it is a 'Bra tree of fame'!

(Pictures taken with my iPhone4)

Apparently, "women are encouraged to leave their bras on the 'Bra tree of fame' and men are encouraged to leave something behind - usually neckties". More here -

I know guys reading this post are already reaching out to your Travel Agents for travel bookings to Las Vegas. All the best to you guys but please take an extra ticket for me too ;-) (for the priceless information given above)

Cheers.

Pleasant experience in a restaurant in New York

During my last visit to New York in Sept '11, on a Sunday, me and my son got up late and wanted to go straight for brunch. We started looking for India food on the 9th avenue and found an Indian restaurant (actually owned by a Nepali) named 'Aaheli'. It is on the 9th Avenue 826, NY 10019.

It was a buffet brunch. One of the items mentioned in the menu was replaced with another. When we were served the food, I pointed to the bearer/owner about that. Within 10 minutes he brought the item that was not being served and gave it to us and didn't charge for that. We felt very happy with the service given by a not-so-big restaurant and I promised to him that I will provide my positive feedback on his service.

If the restaurant is still in operation, please patronise them when you are next in NY.
